    Roncegno Terme, the heart of the chestnut-growing region in Valsugana, has hosted this traditional festival for 43 years, with the entire town coming together to celebrate and promote its renowned local production. The Chestnut Festival is organized by the Chestnut Producers Association of Roncegno and the Roncegno Terme Pro Loco. Taking place on the last weekend of October, the event features a market offering local products and crafts, music, parades, shows, and entertainment. There are also activities for children, including storytelling, face painting, balloon art, and workshops. Participants can explore the area with walks through the chestnut groves and enjoy the famous fruit in the form of roasted chestnuts, desserts, and traditional dishes prepared by local associations.

    25th Ittona Convention: Descendants of Trentini in Romeno

    As part of the 25th Ittona Convention (a federation of Trentini clubs in the United States and Canada) held in Pinzolo and in collaboration with the “Trentini nel Mondo” association, the municipality of Romeno will welcome a group of around fifty descendants of Trentini from the United States and Canada. Following greetings from the authorities of the Alta Val di Non Community, Romeno’s mayor Luca Fattor, and a delegation from the local Alpini group, there will be a concert by the Storyville Jazz Band. Founded in 1986, the Storyville Jazz Band is considered one of the most prestigious traditional jazz ensembles. After the performance, which will take place at the parish theater in Romeno, guests will enjoy a reception featuring apple juice, wine, and Trentingrana, a regional specialty along with the Val di Non’s renowned apples. The jazz concert is open to anyone wishing to enjoy some good music, with free admission.
